The final Montgomery County Fair begins August 13 and ends August 19 with the Coffeyville Interstate Fair and Rodeo. The 102 nd Annual Montgomery County 4-H Fair activities begin with the King & Queen Coronation July 25 th and ends with the Livestock Premium Sale and clean-up Monday, July 31. The Cherryvale Youth Fair will be held July 12-15 at Cherryvale, Kansas. Maggie McVey has raised hogs during her many years in 4-H and talked about her market and breeding gilts. He has won several ribbons in the past and is looking forward to the fairs this summer. Jesse Darby has several hens that he has worked with for a couple of years. Harley Fields shared information about her heifer she is working with. Hayden Fields talked about his heifer and lambs he is preparing for the fairs. He is most excited in entering it in the fairs. The Christmas ornament had his hand print and he will hang it on his Christmas tree this year. Bryce Powell shows an art project he made. Daniel learned that if he was nervous his horse would be nervous, too.
He has entered several events and showed the ribbons he had won. Daniel Martin talked about his horse named Stormy. He will enter it in the fairs this summer. He explained the process he followed to complete this project. Damien Evans constructed a plastic model of the USS Arizona Battleship. Several Fawn Creek 4-H members gave project tour talks at their regular meeting held Monday, Jat the Tyro Christian Church.
